Non-Negotiable:
The foundations every smart, sensitive woman needs to build lasting health and vibrant energy.

A 16-week experience (that won't take over your life)
August 20 - December 10, 2026
There is a whole lot of noise in the wellness space. And most of it doesn't work for sensitive women.
You don't need another rigid diet or bootcamp that overstimulates you or burns you out.

You don't need a list of foods to avoid longer than your arm.

You don't need to start on 20 supplements.

You don't need another complicated morning routine that makes you tired before your day even begins.

And you definitely don't need another health expert telling you to "just be more disciplined."
If rigid, restriction-based programs worked permanently, you wouldn't be reading this right now.

We need a different approach.
What you need is a solid foundation that doesn't crumble under the weight of life.

Because lasting health isn't built by doing more.

It's built by consistently doing what matters most ... in a way that honors your sensitive nervous system.
Welcome to Non-Negotiable, the practical, no-nonsense, holistic program that helps you master the four pillars every healthy body and brain depends on.
Our 4 Non-Negotiable Pillars
Hydration. Nutrition. Movement. Rest.
Simple? Yes. Easy to practice consistently? Not always.
With as many diet books, health programs, and media influencers out there doling out advice, you would think we would all be healthy and happy. But we're not.

If more information was the solution, you wouldn't still be looking for solutions.
Please hear me when I say this: it's not you. The system is broken, overly complicated, and steeped in diet culture. In other words, it's time to exit the current paradigm and do it differently.
You're probably here because ...

You know more about health than the average person, but you just can't seem to follow-through consistently. Or what you're doing isn't working.

You've read the books.

You've listened to the podcasts and watched the YouTube videos.

You've followed the "expert" recommendations and tried the "results guaranteed" programs.

You've downloaded the apps.

You've talked to your doctor to seek answers to your fatigue, weight gain, brain fog, or chronic inflammation.

And yet ...

You still feel like you're consistently starting over.

One week you're meal prepping, walking every day, drinking your water, and getting to bed on time.

The next week, you're skipping meals, living on coffee and/or sugar, scrolling until midnight, and wondering how you got so far off track.

Or maybe you've stopped trying because <sigh> it just became too much.

It's exhausting trying to keep all the balls in the air.

But not because you're lazy or lack motivation.

Because information isn't your issue.
Implementation is.
This isn't another program that you start and quit.
There are no leader boards or gold start students. That's not the vibe in my world.

You are encouraged to show up even if (erm, when) things don't go as planned.

There aren't even "good" or "bad" days.
My friend, if you want to create sustainable health, you're going to have to break up with the ways you've been trying to do health. After years of trying, it's not going to suddenly work.

The women who feel their best aren't necessarily doing extraordinary things. They're embracing consistency > intensity and making it part of their every day life (and identity).
What's included
Imagine if ...
Instead of wondering what to focus on
... you knew exactly what mattered.
Instead of chasing every new health trend
... you confidently returned to the basics.
Instead of swinging between perfection and giving up
... you built daily rhythms that felt natural.
Instead of relying on motivation
... you created practices that carried you through busy season, stressful weeks, and real life.
Instead of saying you'll start again next week or next month
... you'll finally have the confidence (and skills) to keep your word to yourself consistently.
That's what Non-Negotiable is designed to help you do.

Inside you'll learn the four pillars on which all other health practices are built
Nutrition
Learn how to nourish your body without obsessing over food, counting every morsel that enters your lips, or following rigid rules. Build meals that support energy, satiety, and long-term health goals.
Hydration
Hydration is more than carrying around a giant water bottle or "drinking enough water." Learn how fluids, electrolytes, other nutrients, and daily habits work together to help your body (and brain!) function her best.
Movement
Move beyond the "all-or-nothing" exercise mindset. Discover how to create a movement practice that's sustainable, enjoyable, and supportive of your nervous system and life. After all, you want to feel better, not run yourself ragged.
Rest
Quality sleep and other forms of rest (yes, rest is sooo much more than sleep) aren't optional; they're foundational. Learn practical strategies to help your body recover and restore.
As simple as this sounds, most busy, sensitive women have not mastered these pillars in a sustainable way, and it's costing them energy, stamina, brain function, and vibrant health.

What makes Non-Negotiable different?
Most health programs add more to your plate before you have a stable foundation. That's why you keep quitting. It was never your fault that those programs did too much, too soon.

Non-Negotiable helps you clear the plate. And while "non-negotiable" might seem "hard," that's not at all what this is. This is where you keep your word to yourself, because you finally have a framework that meets you where you are, consistently, imperfectly. No rigidity required.

Instead of giving you 50 new habits all at once, we'll focus on the Non-Negotiable Four, the proven pillars of my work that build the foundation of everything: your energy, your mood, your focus, and if needed, your weight loss or other chronic illness support.

Instead of chasing optimization before it's time, you'll build stability.

Instead of trying harder, you'll simplify and finally be able to stay the course.

Because when your foundation is strong, everything else in your life becomes easier.
I've seen how hustle, striving, and performance in diet culture have taken their toll on so many women. It's not sustainable.
This is.

This program is for you if ...
You're overwhelmed by conflicting health advice.

You get one or two of the four pillars dialed in but struggle with others.

You have chronic health conditions which make typical programs a struggle and you know you need a personalized approach that honors your nervous system.

Your body requires extra care and sensitivity when you start health protocols (I've found this to be especially true for those who are neurodivergent, have chronic health issues, or a history of complex trauma).

You know what to do, but you haven't been able to do it.

You're ready to stop chasing quick fixes.

You want a realistic approach that fits your actual life.

You're looking for sustainable health, not another dopamine hit.

The goal
By the end of the program, you won't just know what the most important are.

Not only can you expect to feel better - more energy, clearer focus, and better mood - but you will have confidence to carry your practices into the rest of your life.

You'll have a practical framework for living all four pillars.

SUSTAINABLY.

You'll know how to return to your foundations after vacations, holidays, stressful seasons, illness, or setbacks.

Because consistency isn't about never getting off track.

It's about knowing how to come back.

Again.

And again.

And again.

That's what makes these habits ...
Non-Negotiable.

Inside Non-Negotiable, you'll receive ...

Retreat Participant, California
"I've been to a lot of retreats and Shannon's retreat is still one of the best I've ever been to. The food. Oh. Her food is delicious and plentiful! It's the first time I wasn't hungry at a retreat." (Shannon's note: hehe, this person said this out loud on another retreat that I was attending)
Retreat Participant, Michigan
"This retreat was the first time I've been able to share my heart with other women and not fear being hurt or judged. This is the most healing experience of my life. I laughed, I cried, I laughed until I cried. I won't ever forget my experience at Shannon's retreat. It left a lifelong impression on my body, mind, and spirit." (Two-time attendee.)
Retreat Participant, Michigan
"I am a changed woman ever since I came back from Shannon's retreat. I learned so much and enjoyed connecting with each of the women there. Also, Shannon's food is the best retreat food I've ever had." (Another two-time attendee, has also attended many retreats.)
FAQ
What if I have a physical limitation the prevents traditional exercise?
Yes, absolutely! This is a great space to deeply reconnect with God. That said, this is a Christian faith-based retreat, not a new age "spiritual" retreat. Jesus is at the center. As long as you're okay with that, we would be delighted to have you!
How can I expect to feel when I leave?
This is a deep, immersive (yet gentle) experience. You might feel tender, joyful, peaceful, or tired (or all of the above!). But it's likely your body will feel more relaxed, you will be breathing more deeply, and will be excited to walk more closely with God in your health journey. One of the reasons we made the retreat Sun-Fri is so you have the weekend to rest + integrate.
If I have struggled with my health, how will this retreat truly help me?
Chronic health issues and excess weight are rarely just a physical struggle. Very often, they are a result of painful soul wounds (trauma, abuse, generational curses even) that require supernatural solution. No diet, exercise program, mindset work, or even therapy will break the bondage of soul wounds and spiritual oppression. So, yes, this retreat will truly help you
Will I have enough time and space to rest?
Yes, absolutely! We do not pack activities back-to-back. Inegration is absolutely essential.
What if I am afraid to share in a group setting?
You can share as much or as little as possible. That said, even the shyest participants in Shannon's retreats often warm up quickly.
Can you cater to vegetarian or vegan participants?
Vegetarian, possibly. Vegan, no. Email support@shannonstockwell.com if you are vegetarian and want to come.
What about food allergies or sensitivities?
Shannon is highly familiar with special dietary restrictions and can do her best to accommodate. Gluten-free and dairy-free are pretty common requests. Reach out to support@shannonstockwell.com for other concerns.
What types of meals and snacks are provided?
Breakfast: an array of self-serve fruits, yogurt, cottage cheese, egg bites, sourdough bread, peanut butter, and all the snacks below Brunch/Lunch: a fancy egg dish with hearty oatmeal (with all the toppings) or a fall stew or hearty soup filled to the brim with meat and vegetables to warm you from the inside-out; optional bread (French or sourdough) and butter. Dinner: each evening, we will gather around a gourmet-ish, protein-rich, nutrient-dense homecooked meal (truly, I’m told that my food is magical at retreats lol). Snacks: plenty of options will be available for you to self-select, including cheese, hummus, regular and GF crackers, fruits, KIND bars, beef sticks, peanut butter, nuts, and seeds. Some chocolate will no doubt make an appearance as well. Beverages: There is a Keurig + variety of pods, a kettle + a variety of teas. Half & half, milk, creamer, honey, and raw sugar are provided. The house is nicely filtered, sparkling water also available.
Do you offer payment plans? Do you offer refunds if I cannot attend?
There is a 4-pay option for this retreat (assuming enrollment by July 15). If you would like an extended payment plan, you are welcome to use payment plans via Klarna, Affirm, or Afterpay through Stripe when you check out. No refunds are offered for any reason. Travel insurance is highly encouraged for this reason. Your spot can be transferred to another participant with approval.
I am worried about my physical capability for the outing to Ash Cave. What can I expect? What if I can't do it?
At one time, knowing that I would need to walk with other people more than a few steps would have instilled fear in me. It is totally understandable to be concerned about your physical ability when you've struggled with this. The loop we will walk is flat, paved, and approximately 1/2 mile. It takes approximately 30-40 minutes to navigate. There are plenty of benches along the path as well. If needed, it is also wheelchair accessible. Here's the thing: you can do it, even if you need support and accommodations. We've got you xoxo.

Your facilitator
Shannon Stockwell, MS, PA-C
is a clinically trained in conventional medicine and has also trained in holistic/functional medicine, mindbody medicine, and intrinsic coaching. She is neurospicy, gifted, highly sensitive, and can somewhat be described as a mix between a soul nurturer + the introverted girl next door, though labels are not her favorite. 😉
She loves dancing and cooking, and pretty much does both daily, often simultaneously. Her other passions include writing, getting stronger in the gym, and creating incredible retreat experiences for other sensitive women.
Life has not always been easy for Shannon, but she credits God for helping her rise up and heal from a life of trauma, loss, and excruciating emotional and physical pain to help women all over the United States heal their bodies, minds, and hearts, reversing chronic illness patterns, just as she has in her own body.
She lives in Plymouth, Michigan and is married to the love of her life, Troy, and has two children.
This is Shannon’s seventh transformational retreat ... and her first fully faith-based retreat! She blends down-to-earth disarming humor with deeply seeing and honoring the humans right in front of her. She loves God and loves people (in the right quantity lol).
